RAWALPINDI: A mother and her son were found murdered in their house in Sanyo village in Murree on Saturday night, police said.

Emergency officials said Fareeda Bibi, 56, and her son Mohammad Sagheer, 26, were found dead in their house on Saturday night after neighbours reported that neither of the two had been seen for the last few days.

The emergency services said apparently the mother and her son were strangled by some unidentified killers as the doors of the house were closed.

After the incident came to light, forensic experts were called from Rawalpindi to collect circumstantial evidence to ascertain the real cause of the murders and the motive behind it.

The bodies were shifted to a hospital for postmortem.
