KARACHI: A young married woman was gunned down allegedly by her brother-in-law in Musharraf Colony on Monday, police said.

Moachko SHO Shahid Chaudhry said the victim, 32-year-old Ayesha, was shot at and wounded by her brother-in-law, Shakeel, inside their home. She suffered critical bullet wounds in the head and was shifted to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival.

The suspect managed to escape from the spot.

The SHO said the victim was the wife of police constable Muhammad Arshad. An initial probe revealed that Shakeel, along with his sister Naila, had killed Ayesha over some family dispute, he added.
