LAHORE, Feb 2: Sindh minister Adil Siddique says there is no bar to return home of self-exiled MQM leader Altaf Husain. Talking to newsmen at the Lahore Press Club on Thursday, he said unlike PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto and PML-N patron Nawaz Sharif, there were no corruption charges against Altaf Husain.
He had gone abroad on his own and could return anytime without seeking permission from anybody, he said. But only the MQM coordination committee would take a decision on his return, he said. The minister lauded Gen Musharraf’s decision on Kalabagh dam, denying that the MQM had opposed the project. The dam should be built, if it had to be, but only after developing a consensus among all four provinces, he said.
