PROMOTING JUSTICE: Law and justice are inter-related terms that refer to the core principles of fairness and impartiality that ensure stability and peaceful functioning of a society. Rules and regulations maintain order, protect individual rights and promote justice. Moreover, they ensure that disputes are resolved in a fair and transparent manner; punishing the guilty and protecting the innocent. Can we claim to have such a system in our land?

EMPOWERING YOUTH: While there is a plethora of job opportunities available both online and onsite, many young people in Pakistan do not know how to find or apply for a suitable job. They also lack confidence and basic English language skills. To overcome unemployment, we need to teach our people the skills that are in demand, and how to find and apply for a job, besides developing their communication skills. Empowering individuals with the necessary skills, knowledge and confidence to navigate the job market, communicate effectively, and seize the available opportunities will unlock a brighter future for Pakistan.

LINGERING ISSUES: There are several non-academic problems affecting the academic life of students at the Hyderabad campus of the National University of Modern Languages (NUML). For instance, there is a lack of designated parking areas for the students. This makes life tricky every single day, and there are times when students miss out on their classes while searching for a parking space. Besides, the lack of extra-curricular activities on the campus is also an issue, depriving the students of a wholesome university experience. The provision of quality education must be central to a university’s aim, but not at the cost of students’ comfort and overall personality grooming. The university administration should look into these issues and redress them.
