LAHORE, Feb 1: The Ghausia Colony drain has been desilted and heaps of garbage removed from M Block of Gulberg III, on directives from the Punjab ombdusman.
Led by Muhammad Farooq, residents of Ghausia Colony, Mughalpura, had submitted in their complaints that the drain in their area had not been desilted for more than 10 years in the past.
As a result, they said, water overflowing from the choked drain was flooding their houses.
Ms Gulshan Ara Begum had approached the ombudsman to seek a directive for removal of the heaps of garbage in M Block, Gulberg III.
