Landlord shot dead

SHEIKHUPURA, Feb 1: A landlord was shot dead by three unidentified men on Wednesday at Sughian village.

Reports said Nazir Ahmad was sitting at his outhouse when the assailants came there and shot him dead. The motive behind the murder could not be ascertained so far. Factory area police are investigating.

ACCIDENT: Two women were killed while five others received injuries in a road accident on Tuesday night on Lahore Road.

Reports said Hanifan Bibi and her relatives were waiting for bus along the road when a speeding truck hit them. As a result of which Hanifan Bibi and an unidentified woman were killed on the spot while five others sustained injuries. Police have registered a case. —Correspondent
