Concern over encroachments

MIRPURKHAS, Feb 1: Authorities concerned have failed to remove encroachments in areas adjacent to the State Life building, shrine of Makhan Shah and in front of the DCO office.

Dargah Makhan Shah Waqf Committee chairman Syed Ziaul Hassan Naqvi has expressed concern over the encroachments near the shrine.

Talking to journalists here on Tuesday, he criticized authorities concerned for not taking action against people who had encroached upon government land.

He demanded that the authorities should remove the encroachments before Ashura.

GUTKA: Sale of gutka has again started in the city with the alleged support of police.

Few weeks back, District Nazim Dr Kaneez Sughra Junejo had directed police officers at a meeting to take action against sellers and manufacturers of gutka.—BoC
