MIRPURKHAS, Feb 1: A teenaged boy was crushed to death in an accident at Umerkot Chhor Road, near the slaughter house, on Thursday.

One Mehardin along with his son, Ziaul Haq, was on his way when a speedy truck (P-0351) hit them as a result of which Ziaul Haq, 12, died on the spot while Mehardin sustained serious injuries.

The Umerkot police have registered a case and arrested truck driver Mir Hassan Dars.

In an other incident, a teenaged boy was criminally assaulted by a Chakki owner in Deh 369, Digri taluka, on Friday.

Report said that Sajid Mehmood Arain, 14, went to the Chakki for buying flour (Atta). Ameer Ali Jarwar, owner of the Chakki, assaulted him.

A case has been registered with the Jhuddo police against the accused.

WAPDA UNION: The office-bearers of Wapda Pegham Union, Mirpurkhas, have alleged that the Wapda CBA union, Mirpurkhas, had illegally occupied room just opposite the city complaint centre whereas its rent was being paid by Wapda.
