KARACHI: A woman and her minor daughter were run over by a truck after they fell from a motorcycle in the Pak Colony area, police said on Sunday.

Area SHO Khaliq Ansari said that Faizan, along with his wife Nargis, 30, and daughter Armish, 6, was heading home on his motorbike in the wee hours of Saturday when some stray dogs started chasing the bike. He lost control and the bike slipped on the uneven road.

In the meantime, a truck that came from behind ran over the woman and her daughter; however, the man survived miraculously.

The police took driver Aqib into custody and registered a case against him.
