HYDERABAD, Feb 1: Sindh irrigation and power minister Syed Ali Mir Shah along with the chief engineer of Kotri Barrage, and the chairman of Sindh Abadgar Board here the other day visited the Daro head regulator, Bela regulator and Sujawal Cross regulator and inspected the repair work of the gates.
He was informed that no less than 133 gates of the Pinyari circle regulators were being replaced at a cost of Rs44 million.
The irrigation officials further informed the minister that the work on 80 gates had already been completed while the remaining work will be completed by April 2002.
The minister directed that the scheme for replacement of doors should be implemented without any delay and the quality of work should be ensured.
RESULT: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad, has announced the results of Oriental Languages examinations held in Oct last.
As many as 321 candidates appeared in the Maulvi Arabic examination out of which 275 were declared successful.
Hameer son of Mehran Rahmoon, seat no 278, has secured first position and Arbab Ali son of Amiruddin Rahmoon, seat no 305, second position while third position has been shared by Abdul Qadeer son of Allahdad Ahmedani, seat no 184, and Hafiz Meer Mohammad son of Haji Arbab Ali Nuhri, seat no 302.
MAULVI ALAM ARABIC: A total number of 140 candidates appeared in the examination out of which 111 candidates were declared successful while the result of 22 candidates was withheld and that of three candidates cancelled due to failure in lower examination.
Abdul Karim, seat no 514, has secured first position while Khalid Hussain, seat no 565, and Abdul Rehman, seat no 513, have secured second and third position respectively.
MAULVI FAZIL ARABIC: A total number of 182 candidates appeared in the examination out of which 148 candidates were declared successful while the result of 14 candidates was withheld and that of two candidates cancelled due to failure in lower examination.
