CHARSADDA: ANP central senior vice president Ameer Haider Khan Hoti on Tuesday claimed that the PTI had vanished from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after the formation of a major splinter group in the province.

“The PTI that used to claim it would eliminate the ANP from KP has disappeared itself from the province as its two former chief ministers announced exit from it,” Mr Hoti told a party function in Shabqadararea here.

He said tha tthe people won’t forgive PTI leaders for ruining the province and making compromises on the province’s resources.

“Fake revolutionaries (PTI leaders) have left Imran after receiving NAB notices and fearing jail. They can’t stand hardship for two days unlike ANP leaders, who remained loyal to the party despite facing suicide blasts and gun attacks,” he said.

The ANP leader alleged that the PTI was imposed on KP under a conspiracy and that it damaged the province’s interests beyond imagination.

He said that PTI chief Imran Khan remained arrogant as long as some military generals supported him and that he used that support to suppress his political opponents.

“Imran destroyed the economy and institutions and rather, his actions ruined the entire Pakistan,” he alleged.

Mr Hoti said that the ANP leadership and workers faced hardships at all times but remained committed to the ideologyof their leader, Bacha Khan.

“Bacha Khan’s followers not only stood firm but also foiled conspiracies,” he said.

The ANP leader urged party activists to actively participate in the membership campaign and said they all should join hands to inform people across the province about the party’s ideology.

“The only purpose of our politics is to serve our land and our people. Our struggle is to eliminate terrorism from [Khyber] Pakhtunkhwa to establish peace,” he said.

Mr Hoti said that the ANP was striving to help Pakhtuns claim control over their resources, get education and secure other rights for their development.

“We will continue working for the new NFC Award and protection of the 18th Constitutional Amendment,” he said.

Mr Hoti said that if Pakhtuns weren’t united, peace and development in their region would remain elusive.
