Army team finds three rockets

KOHAT, Jan 29: An army team has found three unused rockets in the Darpa Khel area left behind by terrorists who had attacked military installations in Thall cantonment on Wednesday morning.

Military officials blamed the administration for poor control of the Orakzai Agency and said it failed to curb infiltration of foreigners and Taliban sympathisers in the territory, Regional chief of an intelligence agency said pro-Taliban tribesmen had been involved in recent attacks and they were using local criminal gangs for terrorist acts but so far no action had been taken against the tribe from whose land rockets were fired under the collective responsibility clause of the Frontier Crimes Regulations. Similarly, no one had so far been arrested.

The official, however, maintained that there was no immediate need to launch an operation in the tribal area to hunt perpetrators of Wednesday’s attack and normal tribal law and intelligence procedures would be followed in this regard.
