LARKANA, Jan 29: Leaders of different political parties here on Sunday expressing their determination to block construction of the Kalabagh dam condemned the army operation in Balochistan.

Hameeduddain Ahmed Al-Mushraqi, chief of the Khaksar Tehrik Pakistan, Makhdoom Muzaffar Hashmi, chairman of the Seraiki Movement, Jeay Sindh Mahaz chairman Syed Zain Shah, Sindh National Party leader Amir Bhambhro, Qamar Bhatti and Khwaja Farid Sani, chairman of the National Alliance for Seraikithan, in their speeches at a condolence meeting for Tarique Masood Mughal talked of injustices meted out to smaller provinces.

They said that human rights violations had become common and people had been deprived of their rights.

They said corruption and unemployment had added to the sufferings of the people.

They said the people should rise against inequalities, injustice and use the tool of constant struggle to achieve their objectives.

They proposed that the issue of big reservoirs and injustices should be taken to the International Court of Justice.

They lashed out at rulers for accepting the terms of the IMF and other financial institutions while most of the politicians were merely engaged in slogans and issues.

They paid tributes to the leadership qualities of late Tarique Masood.

They took out a procession which was led by Hameeduddain Ahmed Al-Mushraqi and staged a sit-in at Pakistan chowk.
