KARACHI: Membership drive by JUI

KARACHI, Jan 29: The Secretary General of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (F), Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, will formally inaugurate the party membership drive on Jan 31 in Gulshan-i-Iqbal.

This was stated by the JUI-F’s Karachi election chief, Maulana Abdul Karim Abid, on Sunday.

He said a seven-member committee had been formed to launch the campaign in an organized manner.

The committee comprises Qari Muhammad Usman, Muhammad Aslam Ghori, Maulana Gul Muhammad, Mufti Muhammad Hanif, Maulana Salimullah Khan, Qari Abdul Hafeez and Maulana Muhammad Ghayas.

Some 18 members had also been appointed for supervising the campaign in 18 towns and 178 for the UCs, he said.

Maulana Abid added that a women wing was also being organized this time.
