Pakistan U-19 wrap up ODI series 3-1

KARACHI, Jan 28: Pakistan U-19 wrapped-up their four-match series against visiting West Indies U-19 3-1 with a five wickets success in fourth and final One-day International (ODI) at UBL Sports Complex on Saturday.

Inserted to bat first, West Indies made a substantial recovery from 52 for eight to 113 all out in 40.3 overs. Left arm pacer Jamshed in a superb opening ball burst took four wickets for 24 runs in 8.3 overs. Sunil Narine top-scored with 29 off 62 balls with two boundaries.

Pakistan under-19 recovered from early hiccups to reach the target in 25.1 overs, scoring 117 for five. Opener Muhammad Fahim slammed a fighting match winning 49 in 60 ball and it was laced with seven hits to the ropes.

Lahore-born Jamshed caused the havoc in West Indies batting on lively seaming track taking three wickets 17 runs in first fives and added one more wicket in the second spell. Akhtar Ayub snapped-up two for 18 to cause the slide in West Indian batting.

Fellow paceman Anwar Ali after failing to take any wickets for 19 runs in the first spell, took three wickets for five runs in the second.
