QUETTA: The Balochistan cabinet has sought 33 additional seats for three medical colleges in the province, according to a handout.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo sent the request in two separate letters to Federal Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel and Pakistan Medical and Dental Council President Prof Dr Rizwan Taj.

The educational institutions for which more seats have been requested are Loralai Medical College, Jhalawan Medical College in Khuzdar, and Makran Medical College in Turbat.

“An increase of 11 additional seats for each medical college may be approved,” the cabinet said, according to the handout released on Saturday.
