KARACHI: Pakistan Literature Festival (PLF) will be held in London’s Conway Hall on June 17, former managing director of Oxford University Press Ameena Saiyid, announced at a press conference at the National Academy of Performing Arts (Napa) on Thursday.

Ms Saiyid said a similar event took place in 2017. Now, after a gap of six years, it is happening in central London as the Pakistan Literature Festival.

“In all, there are 22 sessions, and apart from Pakistan, speakers from Bangladesh, India, the US and the Middle East will be participating in the festival.”

Shayma Saiyid, co-founder of PLF, requested some of the speakers who are going from Karachi to London to brief the media about their sessions.

Economist Shabbar Zaidi said his session on Pakistan’s economy would feature Dr Ishrat Hussain, Raza Baqir and Zafar Masood
