KARACHI, Jan 24: Five ships carrying soyabean meal, container and to load ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity was modest where five ships, Mersey to unload cars, Simon, oil tanker, Nicolaos–A to offload coal and Hanjin Busan and APL Jeddah to unload and load containers were berthed.

Six ships, Thor Captain, Dong He, Ponl Buenos Aires, Shalamar, Mersey and Puspita departed, while Hanjin Busan, Banglar Urmi, Bunga Delima, Guang Hua, Men, Simon, Rizcun, Trader Hell and Irene are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 92,385 tons comprising 30,398 tons of export cargo and 61,987 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Olar, to load 17,500 tons of ethanol, Hyundai Stride, Y.M. Moon, CMA CGM Swala, with containers and Seven Star, with 5,500 tons of soyabean meal.
