Would you like to watch a film where the superheroes have the attitude of the Teen Titans but the body of the Justice League? If yes, then Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes and Huntsmen, Part One, is the movie you are looking for.

RWBY is an anime-style web series, being aired on TV since 2013, and a crossover between Justice League and Remnant heroes is as exciting as previous JL crossovers.

The story begins when members of the Justice League are transported to Remnant, a world where they have RWBY and JNPR to fight the bad guys. JL members have no option but to join forces to uncover the mystery. They also find it difficult to adjust to the new environment, but they do manage with some difficulty.

The members of RWBY, Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang, find Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman who have de-aged. Although a young Superman and Wonder Woman are acceptable, Batman here surprises everyone. As per tradition, Bruce Wayne was never ‘young’ and here he acts weird when he becomes young. Batman has wings rather than ears on Remnant, which slowly makes him realise how ‘Clark’ does the flying.

Team RWBY was battling visions that were not aligned with the world they were in, while Justice League struggled to remember how they wound up in Remnant. On the other hand, team JNPR, the other set of heroes from the RWBY animated series, managed to find The Flash, Green Lantern, and Cyborg.

If you haven’t ever heard of RWBY or JNPR, don’t worry, the film makes the introduction swift and quick, making you feel at home with the new characters. It has been directed by Kerry Shawcross, who has been behind the RWBY TV series since 2013. The 100-minute animated film is based on the comic book limited series RWBY/Justice League, which launched as a DC digital-first title in 2021.

This is the first animated film regarding RYBY and JNPR, but they all gel in well. With JL around, the film cannot be missed at any cost. Initially, the teams have difficulty in following orders and leadership issues, but with time they manage.

It’s a fight between good and evil, and the eventual bad guy is defeated. The flick highlights teamwork and shows the true power of friendship. However, this is not the end, the second part is due next year, and you never know, if the story is shifted to Earth.
