POA meeting next month

LAHORE, Jan 22: The general secretary of the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) will be elected in the general council meeting on Feb 25. The POA is being managed by acting secretary Abdul Khaliq Khan after Mohammad Latif Butt resigned in 2005.

According to the agenda of the meeting, the POA president will appoint a new auditor of the association, will finalize the contingents for Commonwealth Games, 10th South Asian Games and 15th Asian Games to be held this year.

The general council will also approve the affiliation of the Pakistan Baseball and Softball Federation and Pakistan Netball Federation.

Besides it the status of the Equestrian Federation of Pakistan, Pakistan Sailing Federation and regularization of the Pakistan Golf Federation will also be discussed.
