LAHORE, Jan 22: ARD President and acting PML-N President Javed Hashmi has advised the opposition parties to move a no-trust resolution against Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz to give the world a message that people of Pakistan will not compromise on its sovereignty.

In a press statement here on Sunday, he said the success or failure of the motion should not be a consideration for the opposition parties.

He condemned Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz’s statement that progress on Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline would not be possible unless the controversy on Tehran’s nuclear programme was settled.

Hashmi said the prime minister was adding to the country’s problems by meddling in the internal affairs of Iran.

He alleged that the National Assembly session had been prorogued to ward off debate on various issues during the prime minister’s visit to the United States.—Staff Reporter
