GUJRANWALA, Jan 22: A labour convention organized by the Pakistan Workers Federation has called upon the government to repeal the anti-labour laws. The convention, held on Sunday at Bakhtiar Labour Hall, was presided over by federation secretary-general Khursheed Ahmad.

Speakers urged the government to check prices of essential commodities and raise wages of workers. They also demanded that workers posted in public and government sector on a contract should be regularized while residential colonies and welfare public schools be built for them.—Correspondent
