KARACHI, Jan 21: Four ships carrying steel, coal and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to the KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where six vessles -Iran Shahryar, Orient Independence, Conti Esperance - to un-load and load containers, Leopard to load general cargo, Seiko Ko Marui to load fish and Al-Marwah to unload chemicals were berthed after the departure of five.

The ships, which departed included Maersk Taiyo, Anannger Express, Pyoma and Johar departed, while Sinar Bontang, Orient Independence, Al-Marwah, and Conti Esperance are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total cargo of 99,023 tons comprising 23,964 tons of exports and 75,059 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The ships due on Sunday are: PONL Buenos Aires, Dong He with conta iners, Nicolaosa, with 40,978 tons of coal, Guang Hua Men with steel cargo.

The following ships are due to arrive on Monday: M.S.Simon, to load 25,000 tons of naptha, Olar, to load 2,950 tons of ethanol, Mol Silver Fern, Kota Merdesa, Hanjin Busan, and Bunga Deima, with containers.
