HYDERABAD, Jan 20: An FIR has been registered at the Hyderabad city police station against a union council nazim of the Qasimabad taluka, Mehboob Abro, and PPP leaders Usman Kennedy and Aftab Khanzada and about 20 others for pelting shops in the electronic market on the Faujdari road with stone for not closing their shops. They also allegedly threatened the shopkeepers with dire consequences if they did not pull down shutters.

The FIR was registered on behalf of the state by the city police station SHO, Abdul Majeed.

He said that he along with a police party was on patrol to maintain law and order, as a protest rally against the Kalabagh dam was being taken out by all parties on Wednesday, he received information that Mehboob Abro carrying a pistol along with former MPA Usman Kennedy, Aftab Khanzada and 20 other people was stoning the shops at the electronic market.
