TOBA TEK SINGH: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will not be held on May 14 come what may.

Elections will be held only after current government’s term completes, said Mr Sanaullah while addressing an iftar dinner, hosted by a local party leader on Samundri Road.

He said the economy was destroyed by the PTI government and then Imran Khan made intrigues to keep IMF from signing an agreement with PDM government, but all designs had been foiled by the coalition government. He said Mr Khan made promises that he never fulfilled, including the provision of 10 million jobs, as the PTI government was only interested in political victimisation of opponents.

The minister said PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif would return to Pakistan when election schedule would be announced and the PML-N would sweep the election under his leadership.
