TAXILA: The Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has booked the owner and developer of a private housing society in Fatehjang along with some officials of the municipal committee.

According to the first investigation report registered by ACE Rawalpindi circle, the private housing society owners and developers in alleged connivance with officials of the municipal committee violated the approved layout plan, sold plots reserved for mosque, cemetery, community centre, utility, parks besides denial of other facilities like water, sewerage and electricity despite receiving from the plot purchasers millions of rupees as development charges. The FIR added that 63 plots mortgaged to the municipal committee were also sold in collusion with four officials of the municipal committee.

A large number of victims complained against the owners of the society. Contrary to the layout, the owners narrowed the roads and made plots on the land meant for the roads and streets and sold them with the alleged convenience of the officials of municipal committee.
