Cellphone users face hardships

RAHIM YAR KHAN, Jan 17: Thousands of customers of a cellular phone company in the district are facing problems due to poor connectivity. Since the beginning of the new year Mobilink customers in the district can neither make or receive calls easily. One has to be patient enough to make dozens of attempts to be on air. The problem is there for 24 hours. During the Eid holidays the Mobilink users could not send and receive greetings from their relatives to and from all networks.

Besides making calls, the users also face problems in reloading pre-paid card numbers.

A company official here said that the ‘main switching centre’ located in Faisalabad was being shifted to Multan. “The relocation, which will be over soon, is causing problems,” he said. Meanwhile, customers have urged the PTA to take punitive action against the company for the faulty service.
