KARACHI: The Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF) on Sunday organised its annual Al-Quds meeting and unity Iftar here.

The event was attended by a large number of religious scholars from all schools of thought, academics, representatives of civil society, lawyers, etc.

Speaking on the occasion, PLF committee members said that this year’s International Al-Quds Day would be observed on 23rd of Ramazan, Friday, across the country.

The speakers said that the government should make an official announcement to celebrate International Al-Quds Day on the last Friday in Ramazan and take strict action against the sleeper cells of Israel across the country.

They said that elements working for Israel in Pakistan were making conspiracies to create a soft corner for the usurping Zionist state of Israel in schools and various places as they wanted to undermine the ideological foundations of Pakistan.

They further said that the anti-national elements working for Israel in Pakistan cannot be left free at any level.

Speakers included Jamaat-i-Islami’s Miraj-ul

Huda Siddiqui, Majlis Wahdat-i-Muslimneen’s Allama Baqir Zaidi, ex-MPA retired Major Qamar Abbas, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s Israr Abbasi, PLF Secretary General Dr Sabir Abu Maryam and others.
