Press to be briefed on Khar’s role

Published January 16, 2006

LAHORE, Jan 15: Three PPP leaders, along with Malik Ghulam Mustafa Khar, will hold a joint press conference here on Monday (today) to end a controversy over Mr Khar’s future role in the party. Jehangir Badr, Khalid Kharal, Qasim Zia and Mustafa Khar met here on Sunday to discuss the matter.

Sources said workers conventions would be held at all divisional headquarters to mobilize the party, and Mr Khar’s advice would be given due importance.

However, the Jan 19 convention to be held in Multan was expected to be delayed as the party had not made any preparations for it, they added.
