BRISBANE, Jan 13: South Africa beat the Queensland Academy of Sport by 46 runs on Friday in their final practice match before Sunday’s One-day International against Australia.

Jacques Kallis top-scored with 80 off 106 balls while Ashwell Prince made 50 to help South Africa amass 234 for seven from their 50 overs.

The home team could only manage 188 in reply and were dismissed with more than six overs remaining. Johan Botha and Andrew Hall captured three wickets each.—Reuters
