Hissam, Saqib excel

LAHORE, Jan 13: Bank Alfalah and Diamond Paints won by big margin in the Mueen Uddin Polo Cup on Friday. Four goals each by Hissam Ali Haider and Saqib Khan Khakwani helped the bankers beat Guard Rice 11-3 1/2. Faaiz Rahim Khan (2) and Ali Hashim Rizvi (1) were the other scorers.

For the losers, who had a half goal handicap, Taimur Ali Malik scored all three goals.

Four goals by Mir Shoaib Ahmed and two goals each by Agha Murtaza Ali Khan and Umar Sadik propelled Diamond Paints to 9-4 1/2 win over United Solutions.

Maula Baksh chipped in with a goal for the winners.

For the losers, who had two and a half goal handicap, Ali Malik and Aamir Shahid scored the consolation goals.
