DADU, Jan 13: A married woman, Ms Sadori, resident of the Sonhari village of Amri area, along with her husband Khuda Bux Birhamani and mother Waziran, staged a demonstration outside the office of the District Police Officer of Jamshoro on Friday against the landlord of the village and his accomplices for torturing and cutting her hairs.

Talking to newsmen, Ms Sadori said that at the behest of the landlord of the village, two armed men namely Sher Mohammad and Khan Mohammad kidnapped her from her house with the help of four women and held her hostage in a room for three hours.

They cut her hairs and after severe torture painted her face with black colour and let her off after seven days.

She said that the armed men also threatened her of dire consequences if she lodged a complaint with any forum.

She said that she lodged an FIR at the Amri police station but the SHO nominated only four women and refused to include names of the original accused.

She alleged that the SHO had received bribe from the other side.

The DPO of Jamshoro, Atta Mohammad Chandio, met the victim and assured her of justice besides suspending the SHO of the Amri police station.
