ISLAMABAD, Jan 10: Former prime minister and chairperson of Pakistan People’s Party Benazir Bhutto on Tuesday appealed for an end to poverty and unemployment in her message to Muslims throughout the world on the eve of Eidul Azha. “Today, we commemorate the supreme sacrifice offered by Hazrat Ibrahim (May Allah be pleased with him). In doing so, we affirm unity of action in an imperishable bond of brotherhood,” Ms Bhutto said in her message.

“The celebration today is also an occasion to reflect on the message that came through Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) The message of Islam is a message of consensus and of the rights of the weak and the dispossessed.

“Let us, therefore, resolve to end tyranny where we see it and to end poverty and exploitation.
