LAHORE, Jan 10: Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi on Tuesday visited the residence of politician, journalist, intellectual and artist Haneef Ramay to condole his death. He expressed his grief and sorrow over the death of Mr Ramay with his wife Joyce Ramay, son Ibrahim Ramay and daughter Dr Marriam Ramay. He also offered fateha for the departed soul.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said the late Mr Ramay was amiable and friendly. He enjoyed good relations with Mr Ramay when the latter was the Punjab assembly speaker.

He said the country had lost an honest and simple politician, an intellectual and a researcher. He was a principled politician, having a penchant for art, writing and journalism. His services in the fields of politics, literature and journalism would be long remembered.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri visited the residence of Ibrahim Ramay and offered condolences over the death of his father.
