SIBI: Amidst shouts of “Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad”, “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Allah-o-Akbar”, the RAF Dakota carrying the Governor-General of Pakistan, Quaid-i-Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah, touched Sibi airfield exactly at noon. Among those who received the Quaid-e-Azam at the airport were Sir F.D. Dundas, AGG, Baluchistan, Qazi Isa, President of the Baluchistan Muslim League, Nawab Mohammad Aslam Khan, Premier of Kalat State [etc]. The Quaid-i-Azam is accompanied by his sister, Miss Fatima Jinnah… .

… Accompanied by Brig Fellows and the AGG, the Quaid-i-Azam went to the saluting base. A guard of honour was furnished by the Third Battalion Baluch Regiment… . … Some 55 members of the Shahi Jirga, chief consultative assembly for Baluchistan who had lined up in three rows, were then introduced to the Quaid-i-Azam.
