CHARSADDA: The 48th death anniversary of former governor Hayat Mohammad Khan Shaheed will be observed today (Monday) in Sherpao.

Qaumi Watan Party central leader Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, provincial chairman Sikander Hayat Khan Sherpao and other leaders of the party will address the ceremony.

The speakers will pay tributes to Hayat Mohammad Khan Shaheed for his services. The QWP workers have installed billboards and banners on routes leading to Sherpao.

The road has also been decorated with QWP flags. This year, the anniversary of Hayat Shaheed has been dedicated to martyrs of Peshawar police lines blast and other victims of terrorism. Former governor Hayat Mohammad Khan Sherpao was martyred in an explosion during a function at University of Peshawar on February 8, 1975.
