PESHAWAR: Newly-appointed Inspector General of Police Akhtar Hayat Gandapur has vowed to find and take to task the elements behind the suicide attack inside the mosque at the police headquarters here.

He stated this while talking to the injured police personnel during a visit to the Lady Reading Hospital on Saturday, according to a statement.

Mr Gandapur also asked the hospital’s staff to take special care of the injured personnel.

“Police jawans are priceless assets of the force. We will find and take to task the elements involved in this gruesome act,” he vowed.

Capital City Police Officer Mohammad Ijaz Khan was also accompanied him.
