KARACHI: Sindh High Court Chief Justice Ahmed Ali M. Shaikh on Thursday approved establishment of a circuit bench at Mirpurkhas.

According to the SHC registrar, the provincial government has been asked to identify at least three buildings within a week so that the newly approved circuit bench could be established in one of them.

He said that the people of Umerkot, Tharparkar and Mirpurkhas would be benefited from the new circuit bench.

Meanwhile, the chief justice has also called a report from the secretary of ministry of law and justice regarding establishment of banking courts in the province.

In a letter to the secretary, the SHC registrar recalled that creation of more banking courts in Sindh had been decided in 2020 and the matter had been lingering on since then.
