FAISALABAD, Jan 5: The Lyallpur Town Administration has issued notices to all commercial buildings having more than three storeys and under-developed housing schemes to present their legal documents within a week otherwise their premises would be sealed.

Town Nazim Rana Zahid Mehmood told the press here on Thursday that the action had been taken after receiving of numerous complaints about violation of buildings by-laws.

He said multi-storeyed buildings in eight bazaars and other areas had been constructed in violation of the by-laws.

He said sky-high plazas had been erected on the drain of Circular Road by some influential people which now had become dangerous and were creating traffic problems. He said notices had been issued to plaza owners and developers of housing schemes directing them to provide copies of the approved maps, building plan, soil testing and engineers’ reports within a week.

SHO arrested: Police registered a case against the Lundianwala SHO and arrested him here on Wednesday night for allegedly providing shelter to a hardened criminal.

Reports said SHO Kamran Lashari had failed to arrest proclaimed offender Nazar Husain alias Nazru. Both the criminal and the SHO had close links.

District Police Officer Muhammad Amin Wains ordered immediate arrest of the SHO and booked him under 216, 217 and 221 of the PPC and 155-CD of the Police Order 2002.
