DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Two children were killed in separate road accidents here on Sunday.

A Rescue 1122 official said bus of sugar mills hit a motorcyclist at Muriyali Morr on Multan Road, killing a boy, 10, who was sitting pillion to his father, and injuring the man.

A Rescue 1122 team shifted the injured person and the deceased to the District Headquarters Teaching Hospital, DI Khan.

Meanwhile, a girl died on the spot while her uncle was injured when a tractor collided with a motorcycle on DI Khan-Prova Road at Fateh Morr, a police official said.

He said Zarmina Bibi, a resident of Haji Mora, was going to Nayvela on a motorcycle with her uncle, when a tractor struck them. She died on the spot, while her uncle was injured. A rescue team shifted the injured and the deceased to the District Headquarters Teaching Hospital.

Meanwhile, a policeman was injured during a robbery incident near Chashma Right Bank Canal (CRBC) checkpost with the robbers taking away cash and mobile phone from him on Sunday.

A police official said some robbers tried to rob a policeman, namely Izzat Khan, near CRBC checkpost. He said the policemen resisted the bid, on which the robbers opened fire on him, leaving him injured.
