KARACHI, Jan 4: Deputy Chair of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology Jamiluddin Aali has thanked the head of the Capital Development Authority, Kamran Lashari, for providing 150 acres on easy terms for the construction of Islamabad complex for the FUUAST.

He expressed the hope that with the help of the Higher Education Commission and other philanthropists, the land would soon be purchased.

Jamiluddin Aali said that not only in Pakistan but also abroad, FUUAST campuses would be opened. It has two campuses in Karachi — the Abdul Haq campus of Arts, and the Gulshan-i-Iqbal campus for science, built on lands measuring four and 16 acres respectively. The present campus in Islamabad is rented and located in the WAPDA House.

Jamiluddin Aali said his basic work in this context was over and it was up to the present management to ensure construction of the building and implementing educational plans. Mr Aali, who will be 80 soon, said he was no longer able to bear the strain of work required in the project.
