KARACHI, Jan 4: Four ships carrying palm oil, containers and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk where eight vessels were berthed. They are: Kuo Hung, Kota Wangsa, APL Pusan and Iran Takhti to unload and load containers, Atlantic Express, Leli to offload general cargo, Bow Flower to unload chemical and Marine Champion, to offload palm oil.

Sailing was also active as eight ships-Iran Sattari, Tai He, Yang Jiang He, Dubai Fortune, Dsante Fe, Chrysola, Stolt Asalia, and Heng Tai departed, while APL Pusan, Sammai Superstar, Atlantic Express, Marine Champion, Kuo Hung, Iran Takhti, Kota Wangsa, Asdrubal and Ken Unity are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.133m tons comprising 13,792 tons of export cargo and 0.119m tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Bahagia, with 11,000 tons of palm oil, MOL Accord Golden Express with containers and Iran Shaheed with general cargo.
