KARACHI, Jan 3: Firm favourites India will take on Sri Lanka in the final of Women’s Asia Cup cricket tournament at National Stadium on Wednesday.

World Cup runners-up Indians are also defending champions of the continental event and had already beaten Sri Lanka twice in the double round robin league competition.

Indian domination in the championship can be judged from the fact they twice beat Sri Lanka by 10 wickets and recorded a 10-wicket and 193-run victory over Pakistan.

The winning team will get a cash prize of US$1,000 while runners-up will receive $500 and Woman-of-the-Final $200.
