LAHORE: The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) and Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) on Saturday joined hands to maintain cleanliness in the city.
The authority will provide all possible support to the LWMC to improve cleanliness. LWMC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ali Anan Qamar visited the PSCA along with a delegation.
PSCA Chief Operating Officer Kamran Khan gave a detailed briefing to the delegation about the working of the authority and its various departments. He said all possible support would be provided daily to the relevant departments, including the Water and Sanitation Agency, environment department, and the district administration.
Safe City cameras will help monitor cleanliness arrangements across the city and daily reports of the cleaning staff and details of any missing area would be shared. Mr Qamar said immediate action will be taken based on the Safe City reports. MM Alam Road will be made a model road in terms of cleanliness.
He further said the cameras will be helpful in improving the performance of the LWMC.
Later, a commemorative shield was also presented to the delegation by the PSCA.
