KARACHI, Jan 2: Pakistan Badminton Federation (PBF) on Monday named a 16-member national squad including an even number of men and women for Thomas Cup and Uber Cup Asian Zone badminton championships scheduled for Feb 13-19 at Jaipur, India.

The men will feature in Thomas Cup and women in Uber Cup.

The team, picked by a selection committee with Mohib Asad at its head and Naqi Mohsin, Saleem Paracha as members, will now attend a short training camp to prepare for the international events.

Team:

Men: Zeeshan Umar, Ahsan Qamar, Wajid Ali, Shabbar Hussain, Atiq Chaudhry, Rizwan Azam, Ali Yar Baig, Rizwan Rana.

Women: Sara Khan, Ayesha Akram, Zahida Ali, Farzana Shaheen, Asma Butt, Uzma Butt, Saima Manzoor, Farzana Ali.—APP
