LAHORE, Jan 2: The ruling coalition and the opposition parties have started preparing their strategies for the elections to the Senate seats vacated as a result of a draw on Monday.

The opposition parties are indicating that they will cooperate with each other in the polls to be able to get their share according to their strength in the assemblies.

The PML-N and the PPP informed Nawaz Sharif and Ms Benazir Bhutto about the results of Monday’s draw and sought instructions from them for the future.

Opposition parties believe that the ruling coalition will get more seats in the elections, weakening the opposition in the upper house.
