MANSEHRA: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl will organise a national conference next week to develop consensus among political parties on the creation of more provinces, including Hazara, in the country.

Federal parliamentary secretary of interior and PML-N MNA Mohammad Sajjad Awan told reporters here on Wednesday that he along with his party and JUI-F’s lawmakers met National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf and invited him to attend the Grand National Conference to support the cause of new provinces. He said the NA speaker accepted the invitation and promised to work for the creation of Hazara and other provinces in the country.

The PML-N MNA said other parties, including Pakistan Peoples Party, would attend the moot and would announce support for new provinces inside parliament and outside.

Meanwhile, the Islami Jamiat Talaba organised the Talent Expo at the Hazara University here on Wednesday and said the event provided students with an opportunity to exhibit their talents.

IJT central emir Shakeel Ahmad announced that talent expos would be held in other universities as well.

TRAINED: NGO Worldwide Fund Nature Pakistan (WWF-P) on Wednesday trained hotel owners and employees in Balakot tehsil here in ways to promote tourism without harming the environment.
