KARACHI , Jan 2: Speakers at a demonstration on Monday demanded that all those involved in the police action in Lahore be arrested, tried and sentenced according to the law and that Kalabagh Dam should not be constructed.

Speaking at a demonstration organized by the Labour Party Pakistan at Karachi Press Club, they condemned the use of brutal force by the police on the peaceful demonstrators.

They said that peaceful participators, majority of whom were intellectuals, scholars and senior citizens received injuries.

Haji Basheer, Zehra Akber, Nawab Ali, and others also spoke. Political leaders Mairaj Mohammad Khan, Rauf Sasoli and others also participated in the demonstration.
