LAHORE, Jan 1: Four goals by Asif Tiwana helped Soneri Bank annex the Seasons Canola Polo Cup, crushing Led War 8-4 in the final on Sunday. The score was 2-2 in the first chukker with Feroze Gulzar scoring back-to-back goals for the bankers while Hashim Kamal Agha and Hissam Ali Hyder struck a goal each for the losers.

The winners took a convincing 5-2 lead in the second chukker as Asif slammed in two goals while Tanvir Tariq a goal.

The bankers went ahead 6-3 in the third chukker as Asif pumped in his third goal while Hissam his second for the losers.

The winners struck two more goals in the fourth chukker against one they conceded to seal the fate of the match.

Asif scored his fourth while Jawad Jamil his solitary. Hashim scored his second goal for the losers but only to reduce the margin.

A half-goal handicap proved decider in Learning Alliance 3 1/2-3 win over Guard Rice for the third spot.

Ahsan Javed Sher (2) and Usman Haye (1) were the scorers for the winners. Taimur Malik scored all three goals for the losers.
