LAHORE: The PML-N has expressed concern over ‘temporary’ appointment of the Punjab chief secretary and the inspector general of police.

In a resolution submitted to the Punjab Assembly on Thursday, PML-N MPA Sadia Tamur said owing to temporary appointment of the chief secretary and the IGP, ‘uneasiness’ was found in the Punjab bureaucracy and police.

Interestingly, the Punjab government blames the Shehbaz-led administration in the Centre for not ‘appointing regular chief secretary and IGP’.

Punjab Minister Aslam Iqbal has chided the federal government for creating administrative hurdles in the province by blocking its move to appoint regular top positions in the province.
